Lakshya’s Test
Lakshya Sen returns after a back injury and an underwhelming Asian Games individual event, where he lost in the round of 32 after beating Japan’s Kodai Naraoka in the team event. He was runner-up at the All England Championships this year, for the second time. He plays third seed Chou Tien Chen, who beat Ayush Shetty at the Asian Games.
Kidambi Srikanth, who won this title in 2017, opens against France’s Arnaud Merkle.
