Shekhar Ravjiani (born 29 November 1978) is an Indian composer, singer and occasional actor. With Vishal Dadlani he forms Vishal–Shekhar, one of the most successful composer duos in Hindi cinema, whose soundtracks include Om Shanti Om, Dostana, Ra.One, Chennai Express, War and Pathaan. He is also a trained classical singer who has sung several of the duo’s best-loved songs.

Early Life
Ravjiani was born into a Gujarati family; his father, Hasmukh Ravjiani, was a music enthusiast who played the accordion. He trained in Hindustani classical music under Ustad Niaz Ahmed Khan. In 1997 he took part in the television singing contest Sa Re Ga Ma.
Career
He and Vishal Dadlani, the singer of the rock band Pentagram, each composed songs for Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999) and decided to work together. Their breakthrough was Jhankaar Beats (2003), which won them the Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for new talent. Through the 2000s and 2010s they scored a string of hits: Dus, Bluffmaster, Salaam Namaste, Om Shanti Om (2007) with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Anjaana Anjaani, Student of the Year, Chennai Express (2013), Happy New Year, Sultan and War (2019). Their songs for Pathaan (2023), including “Jhoome Jo Pathaan”, were among the biggest hits of that year.
Ravjiani sang “Tujhe Bhula Diya” (Anjaana Anjaani), “Bin Tere” (I Hate Luv Storys), “Meherbaan” (Bang Bang!) and “Zehnaseeb” (Hasee Toh Phasee). He has also composed and released Marathi songs and independent singles.
He had a supporting role in Neerja (2016), which also featured Shabana Azmi, and has been a judge on music reality shows including Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Indian Idol.
Personal Life
He is married to Chhaya, and they have a daughter, Bipasha. In 2024 he revealed that he had lost his singing voice for about two years because of a vocal cord disorder and had recovered through therapy.
