Career

Domestic breakthrough

He made his first-class debut for Mumbai in 2017. In December 2018 he hit five sixes in an over against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy, the day before the IPL auction, and Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for ₹5 crore. He made his India debut against Bangladesh in November 2019, but modest returns saw him dropped after a year.

Chennai Super Kings

Chennai bought him in 2022 and gave him a clear role: attack the spinners in the middle overs. He scored 418 runs with 35 sixes as the team won the IPL in 2023, and he repeated that form in 2024.

T20 World Cup 2024

Recalled to the Indian side, Dube was Player of the Series against Afghanistan in January 2024 and played every match of the T20 World Cup. In the final against South Africa he scored 27 off 16 balls. He was also part of the team that won the 2025 Asia Cup.
