Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 has been reported with three different release dates, and the differences can mostly be explained by who is giving them and for which market, according to a search of listings on 16 October 2026. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash and is expected to be a major attraction of the festive season.

The official Ramayana website, as summarised in the search results, gives 8 November 2026 as the date for India, as a Diwali release, and 6 November 2026 for international markets through Sony Pictures. Diwali falls on 8 November this year, which is general calendar knowledge, so the Indian date matches the festival itself.

A second set of reports says 6 November. M9 News writes that the film will reach theatres on 6 November and that premiere shows are reported to begin from 4 pm on 5 November across India, with high ticket prices, following a strategy similar to that used for Dhurandhar 2. A NewsBytes headline says that Part 1 will hit theatres on 5 November. IndiaX24 has not verified either claim with the producers.

Putting the dates together gives a clear picture that is IndiaX24’s interpretation and not a statement from the producers. The 5 November date may refer to premiere or paid-preview shows, 6 November to the overseas opening and possibly a general release, and 8 November to the official Indian festival date. The reports reviewed do not confirm that reading, and a producer announcement would settle it.

Earlier IndiaX24 coverage found the same conflict between 5 November and 8 November and held off writing about it, which is why this article sets out the discrepancy and does not state a single date. Readers should wait for an official statement from the producers before booking tickets on the basis of any one date.

The film has built interest through trailers. A headline in the search results says that a second trailer was released and that advance booking has opened strongly in the United States, which would be consistent with an overseas release on 6 November. IndiaX24 did not open those reports, so it cannot give booking figures.

The release also matters for the other films of the season. A m9.news headline says that Diwali strategy carries a big box-office risk, and another article says that the Diwali frontrunner is expected to target an opening weekend of more than Rs 250 crore, according to a search summary. IndiaX24 treats the figure as a trade expectation and not a forecast it supports.

The film is the first part of a planned series, according to its title, ‘Part 1’. The reports reviewed do not give the number of parts, the budget or the runtime, so IndiaX24 does not state them.

Price is a related question. High ticket prices for premiere shows were reported by M9 News, but the reports reviewed do not give any amounts, and IndiaX24 does not guess.

IndiaX24 will update this article when the producers confirm the dates.
