Jio Platforms will open its initial public offering on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, with a price band of Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share. The issue closes on Friday, 23 October. Anchor investors bid on Monday, 19 October. At the upper end of the band, the company is valued at about Rs 10.3 lakh crore.
The offer is entirely a fresh issue of about 27 crore (270 million) equity shares, worth up to Rs 30,213 crore. There is no offer for sale by existing shareholders. The company says the money will mainly be used to repay borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm, with the balance for general corporate purposes. Upstox describes it as India’s largest IPO.
Retail investors can bid for a minimum of 12 shares, which costs Rs 13,428 at the upper band. Eligible employees get a discount of Rs 54 per share and can bid under a reservation of up to Rs 500 crore. Eligible shareholders of Reliance Industries, who held shares on 14 October, have a separate reservation of up to Rs 2,500 crore. The shares will be listed on the BSE and the NSE.
Basis of allotment is expected on 26 October. Most sources put the listing on 28 or 29 October; Outlook Money gives 29 October, so check the final prospectus notice. Grey market premium figures of about Rs 206 to Rs 220 a share have been reported, but these are unofficial and can change quickly or disappear. They do not guarantee a listing price.
This is a news summary and not investment advice. Anyone planning to apply should read the red herring prospectus on the exchange websites, and note that the price band, dates and reservations can still be revised by the company before the issue opens.
