A high-scoring series
All three matches were won by the side batting second, and the totals were enormous:
- First ODI: India won by 8 wickets, with centuries from Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli.
- Second ODI: West Indies made 405 for 7; India chased it down with Gill scoring 223 not out.

What next
The teams have moved on to a Twenty20 series, which began in Lucknow on 6 October with an Indian win built on a Shreyas Iyer century.
For India’s one-day side, the series showed formidable batting depth with the veterans Rohit and Kohli still scoring heavily, and raised questions about a bowling attack that conceded more than 350 twice.
