The second trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana was unveiled at an event in Bengaluru on Thursday, 15 October 2026, according to India TV, Sacnilk and The Print. It was released in six languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, along with solo posters of Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Ravana. The event was hosted by Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

The event was attended by the film’s cast and crew, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, the composer A R Rahman and the director Nitesh Tiwari, according to the reports. The first part of the film is due to be released worldwide on 5 November 2026, according to the same reports.

The trailer was released internationally first. It first surfaced through Fandango’s international platforms and not through the film’s usual Indian YouTube channels, according to the reports, and this marks the start of the film’s global promotional campaign led by Sony Pictures International. Unlike the first trailer, the latest footage surfaced first through Fandango’s international platforms, according to the search summary of the coverage.

Advance booking in the United States opened on 15 October, according to a search summary of the coverage. The reports reviewed do not say which cinemas or how many screens are involved, or how many tickets have been sold.

The Print’s headline describes Ranbir Kapoor’s Rama as ‘humanity’s hope’ as Ravana rises, and India TV’s headline describes the contest between Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Rama and Yash’s Ravana. These are the outlets’ own descriptions of the trailer, and IndiaX24 has not seen the trailer’s full contents in the reports reviewed.

The release date is 21 days from the trailer launch, a count by IndiaX24 from 15 October to 5 November. That is a short window for a film of this scale, and the campaign has to build interest in several countries at the same time, which is a general point about film marketing and not a finding of the reports.

The film has been in the news for some time. A Gulf News headline says that Ranbir Kapoor confirmed a surprise second role in the film, but the article was not opened and IndiaX24 does not give details.

The production involves large companies: Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations organised the Bengaluru event, and Sony Pictures International is handling the international campaign. The reports reviewed do not give the film’s budget or the number of parts that are planned, so those are not stated.

Six languages for one trailer is a large rollout. English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam cover a large part of the Indian market and the international audience, and the choice of English for the international trailer shows that the film is aimed at viewers outside India as well. That is IndiaX24’s reading of the language list, and the reports do not state the studio’s strategy.

The cast named at the Bengaluru event includes Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey and A R Rahman, whose roles in the film are not given in the reports reviewed. Rahman is the composer, according to the reports, and Nitesh Tiwari is the director.

Jailer 2 and Drishyam 3 are in cinemas at the same time, as IndiaX24 reports in separate articles, and Ramayana is the next big release.

IndiaX24 will report the film’s advance booking and opening figures when they are available.
